Booking Your Appointment
Shrewsbury Register Office operates exclusively on an appointment-only basis. You can book appointments by calling 0345 678 9016 or emailing registrars@shropshire.gov.uk. Although registration officers will make every effort to see walk-in visitors, appointments take priority and there are no guarantees of being seen within an hour without a pre-booked appointment.
Required Documents
When applying for any certificate, you’ll need to provide:

- For births: mother’s maiden name

Processing and Fees
All certificates cost £11.00 each and are processed within the standard timeframe. Shropshire Council’s Registration Service only accepts card payments – cash, cheques, and postal orders are not accepted. Bank transfer payments can be arranged for larger bookings. Ceremony fees are payable three months in advance for wedding services.

The venue is easily accessible by bicycle or on foot, with bicycle parking available. For wheelchair users and visitors with pushchairs, access is via Welsh Bridge, as Frankwell footbridge has steps.
