Booking Your Appointment

Liverpool Registry Office operates strictly on an appointment-only basis. You can book appointments by calling 0151 233 3004 (Monday-Friday 9am-4.45pm) or emailing register@liverpool.gov.uk. All registration services require advance booking to ensure proper preparation and documentation.

Required Documents for Births

When registering a birth in Liverpool, bring the following:

• Black pen for signing documents
• Baby’s details (name, date of birth, place of birth, sex)
• Mother’s full details (name, maiden name, place of birth, address, occupation)
• Father’s details if being registered (name, place of birth, occupation)
• Valid photo identification for all attendees
• Parents’ birth certificates (helpful for accurate spelling)

Certificate Costs and Processing

All certificates cost £12.50 each. Standard processing takes up to 15 working days. Priority service costs £38.50 for next-day delivery if ordered before 3pm. Certificates can be collected from the office or posted. Payment accepted by debit or credit card during appointments.
