Booking Your Appointment

Falkirk Register Office operates exclusively on an appointment-only basis. You can book appointments by calling 01324 506580 or emailing registration@falkirk.gov.uk. As ceremonies now take place in the historically significant Callendar House with its connection to the Roman Antonine Wall UNESCO World Heritage site, advance booking is essential for this unique and prestigious venue.

Required Documents

When applying for any certificate in Scotland, you’ll need to provide:

• Valid photo identification (passport, driving licence)
• Full name as registered on the original certificate
• Date of event (birth or marriage)
• Place where event was registered in Scotland
• For births: mother’s maiden name
• For marriages: spouse’s full name

Processing and Fees

Standard certificates cost £15.00 and are typically processed within 20 working days. Priority service costs £25.00 for express processing if ordered before 3pm. Marriage notice must be submitted between three months and one month before your wedding date, with a non-refundable £100 booking deposit required for ceremonies.

Falkirk Register Office is now located at Callendar House in Callendar Park, easily accessible by train via Falkirk High and Falkirk Grahamston stations with regular services to Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Stirling. Local bus routes 1, F16, F25, and X38 serve the park area. From May 2025, birth and death registration services will be available at Falkirk Library.
